John Thompson organises another successful reliability trial

The “Waveney Wander” took place on Sunday, organised by John Thompson.

Thompson said, “I was well pleased as 43 entries is the record so far, by a fair amount – 37 started, 36 finished.

The route is broadly, Weybread, Brockdish, Woodton, Loddon, Heckingham, Beccles.

No VCB riders but Colin Cole (4:49) and Anthony field (5:00) of GYCC rode.  Also, Stephen Smith of Godric cc (5:07).

VCB also ran two Sunday groups for the first time – the first was a club run ar 8.30am that attracted three riders including a prospective new member. This group did about 45 miles at 18mph.

The second, a club run at 9am turned out this time not to be a group but a solo rider, as those who might have joined were mostly unwell and there are other distractions at this time of year. This group will be a slower and neither ride will drop and leave anyone behind.
