VCB members get out in Wrinklies ride in thaw

Cycling has been hit by the snowy weather and the time trial that VC Baracchi members had entered has been postponed.

This week it has been possible to get out again and two different rides by members of the informal friendship group known as the Wrinklies, comprising VCB members and others, were able to enjoy 40-odd miles in relatively mild conditions.

The snow drifts were lingering in places and made a fine bike stand for the mid-ride “banana stop” during which the riders tucked into bananas and bits of cake or other goodies from their back pockets.
